Ten Tips For Finding Wedding Vendoes

Weddings in this day and age are a very big business. As a firm Princess Perfect Weddings plans over 80 weddings a year on average. In our line of work we have come across every type of wedding vendor. Here are some tips to keep in mind when choosing a wedding vendor.

Tip one: Vendors come in all forms, so the best place to start looking is by word of mouth. Ask your friends and family who they used when they got married.

Tip two: Shop around, take time to visit several vendors to get an idea of price range.

Tip three: Always get written estimates from any vendor you are thinking of using.

Tip four: Check with your local Better Business Bureau for any complaints

Tip five: Schedule a sit down visit with any vendors from your short list, and ask questions about hidden fees, size of staff that will be available to you, and how they will make the reception site work for you.

Tip six: Vendors want your business so always haggle, see if you can get them to throw in a few extra perks.

Tip seven: Get your agreement or contract written in easy to understand English that spells everything out that you discussed.

Tip eight: Sign your agreement or contract only when you feel comfortable with it.

Tip nine: When paying deposits always get a receipt, even when using credit cards.

Tip ten: Your vendor is there to serve you, call them periodically during the preparation period to make sure everything is on schedule.

Dream Wedding on a Shoestring

Every Bride I meet with today wants to have a dream wedding and they all should have what they want on their special day. I have added some tips for you to have a dream wedding on a shoestring budget. These tips are for wedding couples with a budget of no more than $2,000.

  • Use silk or dried flowers for your decorations and bouquets

  • Use floating candles for centerpieces

  • Have your reception at a garden loacation that already has flowers

  • Keep your open bar to just soda and beer with a limit

  • Invite 50 guest or less

  • Skip the limo if you don't need it

  • Hire a freelance photographer instead of professional

  • Use wedding music CD for ceremony and reception music or your own CD

  • Locate a dress on the classifieds or thrift stores

  • Have a wedding that has an all inclusive package

These are just a few ideas of things you can do to have your dream wedding. If you have questions on other things to do, please leave a message on my blog and I will be happy to repond to your questions.
